Apple Crumble Yoghurt Cups

A delicious and quick breakfast alternative, or a special treat for a weekend brunch.


  • 4 apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tablespoon honey
  • 200g natural yoghurt
  • ½ cup muesli 
  • pinch of cinnamon

1. Combine apples, water and honey in a saucepan and cook, stirring occasionally until apples are just tender (about 15 minutes).
2. Cool and refrigerate until required.
3. Layer apples, yoghurt and muesli into a 10 x 225mL cup, finishing with a layer of yoghurt and a sprinkle of muesli and lastly a pinch of cinnamon. 
4. Cover and refrigerate until required

Note: For a ‘Budget Beater’ recipe you can switch out the muesli for rolled oats, which are super cheap and very nutritious.
