Quinoa Hazelnut Porridge

Start your wintery morning right with this tasty filling and nutritious hazelnut porridge.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked quinoa
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1½ cups skim milk
  • 1 red apple, cored and
  • chopped (skin on)
  • 1 tbsp sultanas
  • ½ cup chopped hazelnuts

Method

  1. Bring quinoa, water and cinnamon to the boil in a saucepan then simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Add milk, apple and sultanas, cook for another 5 minutes then stir in hazelnuts. Serve immediately.

Serves 4
